What should my chapter be about?
Inspired Spirit Publishing is all about inspiring others. So a chapter on you, your business or an incident in your life that would inspire, empower or uplift readers. Remember, if you're not sure what to write about or how to go about it we will support you - we can even interview you by asking questions, record it, transcribe it, edit it and turn it into your chapter! How many authors in the current book?
We usually have between 20-30 authors and then approx. 2 - 5 guest (famous) authors. We know some compilation books take up to 75 or more authors - but we'd prefer less authors per book and give you more pages for your story and to promote your website and business.
Will I be able to have any information about me and my business in the books?
Absolutely, at the end of your chapter there will be room for you to include your name, your business name, your website, address, phone, an offer to entice people to your website and any other relevant info you want! The idea of the books are to EXPOSE you to the world, so we make it easy for the media and potential clients and customers to contact you.
How can I tell if this is a good investment for me?
Firstly, you have to remember this is a PR, marketing and promotions project NOT about how many books you can sell and how much you can make from doing that (although making money from sales of your books is GREAT too!). I know from experience, putting a simple ad in a magazine can cost $2000-$15,000+. It happens once and then it's all over. People either see it the month (or week) it's published or they don't. However with your chapter in an Inspired Spirit book, you have the opportunity to be seen by hundreds of thousands of people and you also have a whole team of people promoting the books - and therefore YOU! Books rarely get thrown out - they get passed on, lent to others, skimmed through in book stores, borrowed at libraries and sold so they're always in circulation - and so is your story! Plus you get to sell your books and so can make ALL your investment back - and some!

Whatever feels best to you. Often writing and publishing your own book can take many months or years (even with a publisher it can take years to actually get your book on the bookshelves!). I'm already published, would this still benefit me?
Although I'm known for my bestselling book How to Be Wildly Wealthy FAST, in the beginning I didn't know which way to turn. The idea of writing an entire book and then trying to get either a publisher or self publish just seemed far too big (and massively expensive) an exercise to undertake. But then I was invited to write a chapter for a book- and that was the beginning of my success as an author. To this day, I still take part in contributing to other people's books (in fact I just paid almost $9000 to be part of a compilation book).
What if I'm just Joe Bloggs from down the road with no products to sell and no business?
Well, if your dream is to be a published author, then absolutely you can take part, this is a great opportunity to have your name in print for a fraction of the usual cost. However, the only real money you will make in this instance is from potential sales of your books. If you don't have a business or other products, then getting published is really only about 'being in print' (and selling the books you receive). However you will also learn how to create a 'back end' (other, higher priced products) if you're interested in having MORE to sell to potential customers.
How will I sell my books?
There are many ways - through the internet, at live events, from the back of the room when you're a speaker, to groups, associations or clubs - even to people you know. You will learn dozens of ways to successfully sell your books so you not only re-coup your money, but make a decent profit as well. Although that is a great benefit, the power in your book is not so much in the sales, but what it will do for your business and credibility - that's where the magic is! Plus - we'll teach you how to PRE-SELL your books, so the cash flows even before you receive your books!
What price should I sell my books for?
We recommend around $18.00 in Australia -that's currently around $18.00 in the US. However it's totally up to you. Using it as a free bonus to prompt people to buy larger priced products/program is a great way to leverage your books. We'll teach you dozens of ways to make it work for you!
If I sell all my books, can I buy more?
You certainly can - and you can buy them at less than wholesale. So you'll make more profit than the bookstores!
Who makes the money on all the books sold around the world?
Whomever sells them. For instance, the publisher Inspired Spirit will be organising book store distribution, so will make the profit on books sold directly to book stores. However, we'll also teach YOU how to sell to a bookstore and make the profit. If you sell ALL your books, you make ALL the money. But again, it's not just about the sales of books (although that is definately a bonus) it's about being able to say you're a published author and using the strategies we teach you to leverage of the media attention and credibility factor.
Who owns the copyright to the book?
Whilst Inspired Spirit Publishing owns the copyright to the actual book, YOU retain full copyright for your own chapter and can use it however you desire. You can use it as an article, expand on it to write a complete book, record it for a bonus mp3 audio. Whatever you want - it's YOURS.
Who are the well known authors that will be part of my book?
Sandy has connected with many well known leaders in the personal development and success fields worldwide, including Mark Victor Hansen, Neale Donald Walsch, Wayne Dyer, Arielle Ford, Peggy McColl, Jack Canfield, Brian Tracy, Deepak Chopra, Jerry and Esther Hicks to name a few. Through her connections with these 'greats', their support teams and publishers, they have agreed to take part in our book projects, through articles, exerpts and sometimes specifically written pieces for our books! These authors are well known in their industry and even world-wide. The opportunity to be published along side someone of this calibre is a wonderful opportunity. I'm not a good writer - can I still take part?
Even if you're not a good writer, we have great editors. We can work with you to make your chapter great! If you want to be an author, we can make it happen.
What if I change my mind?
We accept a limited number of authors in each book and have deadlines, so once you've committed to one of our books we prefer you follow through with your commitment for that book. Although there are no refunds under any circumstances, we do understand things can change, so in some instances we can transfer you to a future book project if required.
Are there any other payment plans available...possibly over more months?
As we have to pay all the costs to have the book prepared, printed and published up front, we have to offer paymet plans to be in alignment with our timeline and costs. Depending on when the project is due for completion (and when you sign up during that process) we offer payment plan options spread over a number of months. However, we will also be giving you tips on how to PRE-SELL your books - so that will assist with your cash flow! Have you done any other compilation books?
Inspired Spirit's specialty is compilation books (the first The Path to Success, was published in May 2008, the second Living an Abundant Life in September 2008 and the third Inspired to Success in March 2009). We also publish Sandy's bestseller How to Be Wildly Wealthy FAST, and have experience in producing high quality books that you can be proud of. Also, Sandy has been published in 5 compilation books - some good, some bad and one just downright ugly - so she knows what does and doesn't work when it comes to books.
Will the book be translated into other languages?
We have no plans to do so at this stage. However, should a foreign publisher be interested, then definately!
I've been told you shouldn't have to pay a publisher to get your book published - what's the deal with Inspired Spirit?
Inspired Spirit is not a traditional publisher. To explain, a traditional publisher signs you on as an author and then the publisher pays you around $1 or $2 per book that is sold. So traditionally, as an author if your book sells 1000 copies a year - you'll make between $1000 - $2000 a year. Plus, contrary to what you may think, YOU are still expected to do all the marketing - most publishers don't have a clue about how to SELL books, their specialty is PUBLISHING books not selling them! Then if you want to buy your own books from the publisher to sell at retail price, you have to buy them at wholesale price - the same as any other book store.
It takes a LOT of sales to make any money with a traditional publisher. Mainly because they don't understand the power of marketing. However Inspired Spirit is your publishing and marketing PARTNER. You get your books at below wholesale price AND you when you sell them, you can make up to ten times more than you would per book than with a traditional publisher - and YOU keep ALL the money. PLUS we teach you how to get media exposure, how to leverage the credibility you'll receive as a published author and much much more. What if I'm not accepted for the book?
While we believe we can help anyone write their chapter for inclusion in one of our books, if we do not accept your chapter (at the sole discretion of Inspired Spirit Publishing) then we will refund 100% of your money. So you have nothing to lose!
Can I see samples of the book or chapters?

What else is included in the book
The publisher often offers a free bonus audio for people buying the book as an incentive to purchase. Inspired Spirit also has a page outlining how other authors can become published and reserves the right to inform readers of additional products and services in any publication. All authors taking part can promote any product or service they offer in their bio at the end of their chapter, however you cannot do so in the body of your chapter, only at the end.
Can I claim the costs as a tax deduction?
Well, we're not tax advisors or accountants, so please get a professional's advice. However I know that every book Sandy has paid to be in (paying up to $9000 to do so) she's been able to claim as a tax deduction as it's the cost of promotion and purchasing stock. So more than likely YES - however please get advice from your OWN tax advisor for your own situation.
I have written a book/have a manuscript - can I send it to you?
I am so pleased you're on the path to becoming a published author - however at this time, please do NOT send us any manuscripts/books or ask us to read any at this time. We will be taking on new authors late 2011, and we'll keep you posted when we launch our newest publishing division.
